Instructor: Ortwin Pötter
Ortwin has been practising Chinese martial arts without interruption since 1976, i.e. for 48 years.
I started with a family system that was a combination of several styles. The core of this family style was the southern (Hakka) praying mantis. I was so fascinated by the efficiency of this style that I have now been practising it for about 45 years and have learnt from various teachers. Since 1999 I have been a direct student of Adam Hsu from Taiwan and have learnt Ba Ji Quan, Pi Gua Zhang and Ba Gua Zhang from him. Before COVID, I was in Taiwan almost once or twice a year, the last time was October 2019.
At the end of 2019 I started to learn Zhong Xin Dao-I Liq Chuan from Sam Chin and Lubomir Tzolov and April 2020 was my start with Yan Shou Gong, starting with a couple of online courses, before, in Sept 2022, beginning face-to-face lessons with Yap Boh Heong at various seminars in Yan Shou Gong and Wu Mei.
I have also learnt a Wing Chun style and have experience in Chen, Yang and Ho Tai Ji Quan.
